On 1/29/2017 I went to Seal Beach to join my classmates and professor in a plaster activity. I dug a hole and stuck my hand finger first into the sand. With the help of a classmate, wet sand was put around my hand. I pulled out of the sand and poured the plaster mix into the hole. The plaster mix was created with 4 pounds of plaster and 2 pounds of water. After waiting for 30 minutes, I carefully pulled out the plaster from the sand and cleared the sand as much as I could.
I was honestly surprised by my work. The hand looks very good in my opinion. I even accidentally created a stand for the piece and it can now stand by itself on the table. My classmates and professor were really helpful and aided me through the process. I am very happy with the result of my work and can’t wait for my projects!
